@Lady@glitch.cat.family the cloutful parts of it, yes. i am getting sick of seeing the cycle of fame and success enabling people to be horrible, both those being elevated and those doing the elevating

@Lady @kit It's been a while since I've actively talked about it but for a while I was trying to find a dividing line between fandom and Fandom cos like

fandom is good and beautiful but Fandom should be demolished

@coriander@elekk.xyz @Lady@glitch.cat.family i think it's a question of how people engage with things, if it's creative appreciation or in-group affiliation. and these things can get pretty entangled too.

@coriander @kit some would say you have the capitalization of those backwards

(originally Fandom referred to specifically SFF Fandom aka the people doing the Hugos and such, and not media fans who are really into their blorbos)

(i’ve considered calling the latter Ⅎandom lmao)

@coriander @kit i ask about furries tho because i think SFF Fandom has sold out and media fandom has always been fucked up but SOME furries at least are still With It

@Lady@glitch.cat.family @coriander@elekk.xyz ah yes, the furries who are With It, you ;p but nah i get ya. i think part of the reason for that is because nobody really invented or can hold exclusive claim to constructing animal personae (closed species aside which i always found laughable as a concept), so there are no singular idols, and so there's space for other things

@Lady@glitch.cat.family @coriander@elekk.xyz as an aside, i'm 80% to having my own working website so i'll keep the directory in mind, thank you uwu
