very funny to me that evolutionary biologists are like “human bodies undergo concealed ovulation because having frequent sex serves a social benefit” and not the more obvious and evidenced “humans bodies undergo concealed ovulation because if they didn’t we’d all have a lot fewer kids”
unbeknownst to evolutionary psychologists, early humans were probably not eugenicists singlemindedly concerned with improving the overall fitness of their species, and kids are a lot of work
