@Lady I think if you want to talk mechanically then this statement might be meaningful, but yeah if you wanna talk about like the lore and stuff the vast majority of Zelda games are "complete reboots" barring, like, Zelda 2 or Majora's Mask

@coriander really what it is is “they finally made a non-handheld Zelda game which isn't a sequel or prequel to Ocarina of Time”, which yes, thank goodness lol, but also the handheld games have been doing this since literally forever
but zelda fans really need to get it in their heads that just because all the zelda games were stuck into a timeline for Skyward Sword marketing purposes DOESN’T mean that timeline is canon to every previous zelda game
