I'm honestly always torn between "Giving party members specific sexualities is interesting and can do a lot of good storytelling in a lot of ways" and "Party members should all just be playersexual so that nobody ever feels left out"
@coriander i’m not upset that Mass Effect gave some party members specific sexualities but i am upset that they got Tali wrong

no idea why considering there are many other women in the game that femshep can date

but you get to tali outright saying "shepard you're the only person i'd trust to do the quarian analogue of sex with"
and then nothing happens and she has nothing more to say for the rest of the game

cuz it doesn't, the game doesn't treat it that way and i am baffled
@00dani @coriander yes i got this dialogue and i was like “oh well that’s that, she’s quarian so like of course we don’t have Actual Sex the way the other characters do” and then i learned that the male shep DOES do that and i was like what the fuck was i just straight girlfriended by tali fucking zorah

@coriander i mean i love that they made the devout churchgirl be bi (altho lbr leliana is a lesbian and they are just cowards) but morrigan has such a plainly utilitarian perspective on sex like you can't tell me she would turn down a strapon

@coriander like if you are going to make a female character be “straight”, please just hire a lesbian and have her play the game and tell you if you succeeded at making the character be straight or not
