wait so they made a cuphead TV show and they DIDN'T animate it like oldschool mickey mouse?? somebody shared a clip on tumblr and this just looks like spongebob with a film grain filter
@Lady traditional Fleischer animation was really labor intensive, I assume they didn't have the budget
@clayote yes this is also my assumption… but why sign on to a franchise whose entire claim to fame is an aesthetic you don't have the resources to produce? i mean i guess it's worked out for them but
