It's Christmas Decoration Day here which means I have to spend all afternoon pretending to care about Christmas so I don't get accused of ruining the entire day
I'm so tired
I was really hoping they would have started without me but no
I really only do any Christmas stuff because the people around me do it (which I know is like the definition of holiday celebration anyway but you know what I mean), I don't really vibe with the cultural side of the holiday and I don't observe the religious side so it's like just not something I care about
I enjoy having time off to spend with my family and all that but like that's separate from all the holiday stuff
And I really wish this was more acceptable in general

@coriander there are some things i like about the christian winter season but it's mostly the decision to put a fuckton of spices in everything
@coriander i was talking with a jewish friend the other day and i was like “yeah i love having a chai latte in the cold winter months” and they were like “???why would you have chai in the cold??” and i was like “oh yeah that's a uhh Christ thing”
@Lady I will drink a chai latte any time of the year, but it definitely hits different in the winter
