i'm in a discord server where people are prone to be like “but what if an admin did X?” and i'm always like “well, they would be immediately blocked” and they are like “that doesn't mean anything!!” and i am like “no, listen. look. i promise you. it Means Something”
this scales for as long as instance admins believe it is important. there is no limit. the internet isn't that large
also if you're on an instance of 100 people and they each follow people on 100 mutually-exclusive instances that's still only a network of 10,000. how much scale do you need
our network is probably more like 50 lmao
there are shitty people on the fediverse but they're not admins, they're girlfriends of admins who fly under the radar because enough people here won't block a server just because of who the admin is dating, myself potentially included
or else they are just assholes who don't know how to shut up
but admins themselves? we have zero tolerance for any kind of sketchy shit lmao and if there is any hint you are abusing your power you will immediately cease to be in my network or my concern
