these days when i play pokémon i have to keep a running note of all the pokémon i will use and what movesets i’m planning for them because i’ve decided to limit myself to 30 per save
this is probably still far too many and i would be better off if i just stuck to like, six or eight, but:
1) oftentimes the mons i like the most take a while to get to, so it’s good to have others until you get to that point
2) there are over a thousand pokémon so if i only used six i would simply not be able to use a great many of them
3) i would have a very hard time deciding on six without using a bunch of them and seeing which i like the vibes of the best
