i have taken exactly one creative writing class and honestly it justified me not taking any of the others
what we actually need in creative writing is mentorship, the same thing we need in the arts in general
not coursework
@Lady I took one creative writing course and it was mostly a good excuse to fuck around with a good friend and my favourite professor at that school
I also wrote some stuff but like

@Lady One of my poems was about mothman tho cos I have always been Like This
like it was fine but i could take a hundred such upper level creative writing classes and still never be any closer to being a good writer
