Improbably, implausibly, unbelievably, a Trump-nominee judge has ruled in favor of Madison Cawthorn, stating that the 1872 Amnesty Act "forgave insurrectionists retrospectively and prospectively." In other words, he's saying that no one can be charged with insurrection for the rest of US history. This is, of course, absurd on its face and a nakedly partisan ruling: twitter.com/mjs_DC/status/1499
