Like, look

I get it

I very strongly understand the desire to search for something else outside of mainstream American Christianity and the desire to turn to things American Christianity has always told you are Bad and Wrong. I've got a couple books like these on my shelf I'll freely admit

There's just something Off about Humble Bundle being the one to peddle these

@witchfynder_finder also i mean hey if you want to learn about something mainstream American Christianity has always told you is Bad and Wrong, you don’t have to turn to Wicca, the Qur’an is right there

Follow

@witchfynder_finder anyway this bothers me because it puts forward a very neoliberal conception of religion as a conscious individual choice and not something which results from years of history, community, and culture, and then encourages you to make that choice in a way which results in spending money on their things

@Lady Yeah I tried this style of "neopaganism" and it extremely does not work and is not very fulfilling

I don't want to read a book about how to cast a circle and stuff, I want to be part of a community of like-minded people who teach each other their practices and engage in conversation about what they do and what it means
