It's honestly becoming pretty funny to me how Ready Player One was just an extremely bad ripoff of Snow Crash without any of the actual humour

Like I've read 9 chapters of Snow Crash and already I can see so many things that Ernest Cline probably read once and went "That's a fun idea i should steal that" and then made them worse

Ernest Cline saw that Snow Crash is about someone named Hiro Protagonist and didn't get the joke
