how do you square that good design really is seldom done by committee, with project governance that isn't a benevolent dictator?

though i guess a foundational question is, how does design even work and is that necessarily even true to say?

@KitRedgrave there’s a difference between having every person with a stake actively contributing to a solution, and having every person with a stake voting on solutions and offering feedback to designers and implementers, and it’s acting in bad faith to use the failure of the former as a justification for not doing the latter

@KitRedgrave i think leftism has a way of being anti‐expertise, like, pretending the only two options are dictatorship or total democracy, but like

you can call in experts, use their expertise, and still have their decisions be subject to the will of the people at the end of the day. you don’t have to get rid of specialization just because you want to have a people’s government.
