Ao3 is gonna be down for multiple weeks and while I have some fics saved there's a lot of "oh god my emotional support fic site" for a lot of us
@lapis wasn't this the site whose maintainers were storing all finances in a venmo account or something
@wallhackio no no no this is a responsibly done site. it's been around for over a decade and came out of beta this year or last
@wallhackio I think I know what site you're thinking of but I'm drawing a blank on the name
@wallhackio like I hope one of the requirements of being legally recognized as a non-profit is that you don't just store your finances in venmo
@wallhackio I'm assuming something melted or is actively on fire. It went down for unannounced "maintenance" and then went "the site won't fully be back up for 2-4 weeks"
