@Alexis i like Spirited Away. Get Out is super borderline to being on this list
my takes are weird and inscrutable even to myself
@wallhackio i mean, who am I to judge, my favourite movie is the 1996 doctor who tv movie
(or alternatively 2023's "River," a very charming Japanese Groundhog Day time loop comedy)
@wallhackio these are all great movies but my main takeaway is this list skews modern and western/japanese, and so you should probably watch *I look down at my notes* more movies.
(Some Takes through omission in here, though. Totoro, but not Spirited Away?? Nope but not Get Out??)
