I don’t have a Top 10 list, I have a Top 100, but my Top 10 are:

F For Fake (1973)
Seven Samurai (1954)
Citizen Kane (1941)
The Thing (1982)
Conan the Barbarian (1982)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Jurassic Park (1993)
Big Trouble In Little China (1986)
There Will Be Blood (2007)
The Matrix (1999)

At first I was like, “At least I have a few recent movies in there” before realizing that There Will Be Blood is now nearly 20 years old

Only 24 of my Top 100 came out after 1999. I’m not sure the statistical likelihood of something like that, but I think it means I like older movies in general.

The thing about old movies is that they’re very good. Something to consider.

What’s the oldest movie that you love? Mine is probably Le manoir du diable (1896) by Méliès

Follow

@Thomas not anywhere as old, but The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence (1962)

@wallhackio I’ve never see it, but I’ve heard it’s great
