Tbf a LOT of the eligibles stop with their friendships as you progress. Haley won't hang with Alex anymore, for instance. Which sucks, the town starts feeling more miserable as you befriend and romance everyone.
But everything else in this thread is specifically a Clint problem and he sucks, for sure

I am sick of all these farming games where NO ONE gets together but player and whoever they pick.
It's not like everyone has to pair off, but have like idk 4 pairs or something, 3 if you try to date one of them
@lapis @katrani @coriander this is one thing that Harvest Moon 64 did a lot better than Stardew
Also when you become someone's partner, they confess to you instead of the player confessing to them, which I like a lot better
@wallhackio @katrani @coriander the 3DS story of seasons games would let you do "Reverse Confessions" where if you got their affection SUPER high and all the stars aligned for an event you'd get THEM to ask you out
I burnt out on one of them because it was taking too damn long for the stars to align so the day after my reverse confession I never played that one again
