I would really like to get published one day but honestly the way I write doesn't seem to line up with current trends at all and I would absolutely refuse any attempts to make my prose sound more contemporary

I grew up reading Edgar Rice Burroughs and JRR Tolkien and that shows in how I write and I'm proud of that fact
