I will continue to hold the terrible opinion that there has never been a truly good Star Wars movie. Even the originals were poorly written and poorly acted.
@Thomas The secret is to acknowledge that the series is called STAR WARS and it's always going to have a level of schlock and cheese to it
@coriander the prequels are genuinely terrible and the sequels are corpo-slop. You can make an argument that the originals have a lot of cultural relevance (they do!) and Empire is well made. It’s definitely the best and maybe the closest I’d call to a genuinely good movie.
