The Great Gatsby is ABOUT horrible people and the romance is one of the smaller parts of the story
but. i LOVE the part when Gatsby and Daisy meet for the first time in years. and they’re so dead set on being polite that they seem downright petrified to be around one another
the Baz Luhrmann Gatsby is unironically close to my heart and THAT SCENE in the movie is probably one of the best parts
