I lied 1500 yrs is just the half life of the notebook (what it’s contaminated with)

I assume they just picked the half life of radium for this statistic but I don’t know the actual amount of radiation being emitted by it

@cam I thought they already scanned her notebook, so I would assume it's not that much, but I'm not sure

I actually read a very fascinating article recently, her furniture and such is also full of radiation, most of it has decayed enough that there's no risk to bystanders (and for the researcher that they interviewed, it was very interesting to have these traces), but they did have to throw a cupboard away because it was too radioactive
(I'll go look whether I can find the article again...)

And clicking a bunch of links led me to the biography that she wrote about her husband
How they worked on extracting radium from ore without any proper protections...
And she says that watching the extracts glow on the shelves was beautiful and made the hard work seem worth it
Her husband was run over by a car and she died some decades later of the consequences of all the exposure to radioactivity...
