Last night I watched the Silent Hill movie and while I can understand why game purists were mad about it, I think as a film adaptation it was actually quite successful. As a horror fan I got some good spooks and monster designs and as a Silent Hill fan I felt properly pandered to, especially during the first act where they recreated some of the most iconic shots of the game. Yeah they changed a lot and it doesn't REALLY make sense for Pyramid Head and the bubble nurses to be there but ultimately it worked extremely well.
