@aschmitz i'm going to have to assume that eventually he figures out a way to diagnose people that does not involve incorrectly diagnosing them and giving them treatments that make them worse multiple times for that last bit
@alyssa I'm not sure I'd go quite that far, no, because of course that's not as dramatic an arc. It's more a "usually he gets there in the end, usually before the patient dies" situation. If I recall, usually the patients are better off than if he hadn't done anything. It's possible there are better mechanisms of diagnosis, but it's often presented as patients coming to him because nobody else has been able to do it.
