watching mimic
unless too many ants show up and i get too scared. there are a lot of bugs certainly
this is definitely one of the more scary types of horror for me.
some of these scenes could do with more lighting
on the other hand, i'm a fan of how we never really clearly see the monsters in full
i was about to be like "okay but there's like half an hour left in this movie but i have no clue how they're gonna survive the next five minutes" but then stuff happened and okay that fits, i dig it.

if you want to optimize for scaring me personally with a horror movie, you should use these three elements:
- bugs (bonus for ants but that's probably so much bonus i just won't watch your movie)
- things or other people impersonating or replacing people
- lots of high perches and falling and structural collapses
mimic did 1.5 out of 3 but i liked it a lot
