@coriander in actual cartoons i have weird contradicting feelings were like, i love how much cartoonier computer animated movies have been getting these days, but it feels like such a waste of effurt to put so much tech into recreating the look of just. drawing frames
@aescling Yeah, I really hate the death of traditional animation :(

@aescling Like, on one hand, without CGI we would've never gotten the Spider-Verse movies
But on the other, given what we've been hearing about the labour practices that produced those movies, maybe we didn't actually need those movies
But on the OTHER other, the technical achievements of those type movies don't negate the beauty of traditional animation either
@coriander like fur me specifically anyway with my tastes a lot of why i thought the sequel was much better than three furst Spider-Verse was that it actually felt long enough to do all of the everything it wanted to do. you get like, several minutes early on of Gwen and Miles webslinging around to help build their romantic tension and it was so fucking good
