The DVD drive doesn't want to turn on at all...?
Need to double-check that it's getting power.
Looks like the power connector simply wasn't properly inserted. Now where's my amd64 Gentoo AdminDVD when I need it... Grrrrr
Found it! It was in my bag of CDs/DVDs (the ones which I might want to take somewhere with me and not just have at home)
Boot from the DVD has been successful, am memtesting 2GB of RAM right now :3
Memtest successful
Boot into Gentoo Linux from DVD successful
Hard drive gets seen by Gentoo, and its SMART values look OK
USBs on the front panel work (but I couldn't test the FireWire on the front panel due to lack of FireWire devices)
USB SD card reader appears to not work...
I am feeling very tired now, so the SD card reader diagnostics will have to wait for later
But otherwise, everything works!
