I was annoyed at how my web page's size is 34 kilobytes if loaded without any caches, but I just checked, and just the HTML is 18 kB already, so I can't get it much smaller...

I feel like a terrible web developer, very wasteful

But also if the HTML is already 18 kB, I can't get it that much smaller...

Supposedly, modern web browsers support gzip compression for the content? But probably not the type of devices that I'm writing for, and also that'd mean a higher load on the CPU...

IDK
Any fellow web developers have any advice for me?
