@aescling she's a princess' handler essentially and they're friends, she's responsible for making sure the princess learns things princesses need to learn like "etiquette" and "dancing" even though they're much more casual with each other, etc
but she's also a notable badass, at one point a caravan of vehicles escorting the princess gets stopped by bandits and the moment gray steps out they go "oh, fuck" lmao. the fight is portrayed as a helpless boss battle where you control the bandits, just to drive home how screwed they are
