I think Matrix (or XMPP + encryption) need support for custom emoji... Custom emoji are very useful for expression in a group chat...

I often use Blobcats instead of Vaporeon on this instance, because we don't have all the range of emotions that the Blobcats show in a Blob-Vaporeon form (for me, Vaporeon is closer to cat than to dog), so I substitute with Blobcat
