@aescling Hersey discusses how the church was a site of community for her since her childhood, and talks about the ways it taught her the things she's synthesizing into her model of rest
and when i try to put those lessons in the context of a religious community, they just feel completely incongruous to me. i can't, emotionally, make it fit.
