I saw an essay someone wrote that argued from a leftist perspective that members of the bourgeoisie actually have a stronger claim for the identity of "gay" (as opposed to other modern queer identities e.g. people who reclaim the f-slur as an identity). The main argument was that if you consider the amount of money they have, it's basically "too many men on top of one another"
