Unfortunately, I am now replaying Danganronpa 1

The first time Holly played this game, only one of the two horrifically offensive plot devices in this game applied to her

Danganronpa 1

Chihiro is... not transgender textually, but, the fact that he was written that way is the product of transmisogyny

And Toko's plurality is... actually mostly respected by the other students as far as I can remember? But "the other girl in my head is a serial killer" is a hell of a premise to approach that with.

re: Danganronpa 1

It's interesting that, if you do read Chihiro as trans, it becomes very appropriate for her to be the Ultimate Programmer

re: Danganronpa 1

I forgot that Kiyotaka is literally the Ultimate Moral Compass ha ha

re: Danganronpa 1

"This guy is... kind of annoying" Yep! :)

re: Danganronpa 1

You know, it occurs to me that this game uses "There was a boy in a room for girls" as a mystery element twice.

Of course, the first time you have to discover that it's a girls' room. The second time... I mean, you know. It's unfortunate.

re: Danganronpa 1

Do you think that Makoto promising to get Sayaka out of Hope's Peak, "no matter what it takes", and she starts to cheer up... Do you think that's the moment when she decided to frame him for murder?

@amy depending on how cynical you read it she may have been trying to manipulate him into feeling that way in the furst place

re: Danganronpa 1

@amy my actual opinion is there's no real hard evidence to tell either way really
