elden ring: good

its a little janky.

but im really enjoying being able to run around and just. pick up shit and craft stuff

plus the like. mechanics changes that they made to like. flasks to accommodate the open world aspect are VERY good.

holy shit best souls game 10/10

the horse is SO good

waiting on my friend to get out of the tutorial area so we can try out the multiplayer

the thing you have to use to allow summoning/invading is a craftable thing with a fairly easy recipe.

this is SO good imo

elden ring feels like a mixture of sekiro and dark souls 2 in the best possible way

i beat the first(?) boss and i feel really good about it

also this is the best souls game because not only do you get a horse there is an npc who hugs you and is just super nice to you and its very very good

i love her

oh also, with regards to the crafting mechanic.

1- you dont just "know" recipes for things once you pick up the recipe element, you have to buy books that teach you recipes. i kinda like this because it all feels more diegetic. youre a stranger to this land, you shouldnt know how to make stuff solely by picking up its components
2- the crafting ingredients menu tells you where to find more ingredients. which is SO incredibly good

there’s a pit that just screams at night.

and I think that’s very funny but also yeah same

its even better when youre sneaking and its like 😬

there are fun little....pranks in the game where some treasure chests just. teleport you across the map

its a very good part of the game, honestly.

oh yeah forgot to post but after i was pranked and warped super far away i found a boyfriend

my most upvoted message is "up, dog" which is killing me

i unlocked a lot of the map today, which was a lot of fun especially in the higher leveled areas that i am NOT prepared for lmao

i also found the best shield ngl

hoped on voice chat and told my friend about how i found a certain long-running NPC in elden ring

and then helped him beat godrick.

did some more exploring and when he went back to like the ONE "safe" area in the entire game and got invaded and we were FREAKING out lmao

also im apparently like. WAY over leveled for a lot of the early area stuff...

OH AND i figured out how to properly apply my great rune? so now ive got all stats boosted to +5 lmao

i was SO excited when i found <Long Time FromSoft NPC>

ive beaten a good handful of bosses first try and that feels nice, although i think it means i may be a bit overpowered
