i did the hard part of my homework
"implement client/server communication over sockets" done
"now make it so you can play this weird Crazy Eights variant" i started on this and i'll finish the rest tomorrow
@monorail i feel like i would find the latter the hard part actually (but i say that even as the only time i ever tried to do stuff involving the direct kernel interface to sockets i never got it to work lol)
@aescling we got a fair amount of starter code with stuff like handling player hands, the cards themselves, the deck and the discard pile, etc etc
@monorail that would help a lot
@aescling we have to implement the rules but most of the complications that arise from moving cards between zones and whatever are taken care of
