Do we think that PitchCom uses a female-coded voice or a male-coded voice? Most digital assistants are set to sound feminine by default, but in a men's sports context, would they use a masculine voice so it feels more like their coach (edited: or catcher)?
@stelepami you would think you’d want it to sound more like the catcher than the coach but i’m not sure there’s a vocal component at all? could just be four tone patterns
@Satsuma Good point, it might more sense to sound like the catcher.
I believe that one of the things they market is that it gives the calls in the native language of whoever is wearing the system. It requires the person making the calls to learn how to use the buttons on the cuff, but whoever is hearing it doesn't need to learn any signals.
