What is happening with all the trans woman Spider-Woman posting on Tumblr?? I'm not complaining, but did something happen in (a) canon?

@transfemwulian my understanding is it was originally riffing off the power inhibitor chip in Spider Man: Brand New Day which has nothing at all to do with being trans but *does* claim to be able to selectively inhibit/express aspects of someones “biology”
