Like, it’s especially egregious here because we literally had a literal immigration policy called the “White Australia Policy” that was literally only extended towards southern and Eastern Europeans within living memory (and only abolished altogether in the 70s). Like if you want a living breathing example of how whiteness is artificially created, every high school student here learns about it in SoSE!!! Statistically most people’s parents and/or grandparents (if not themselves!) were directly impacted by it!!! No one has any excuse!!! And yet!!!
