@kirakira@furry.engineer @Satsuma@glitch.cat.family i am extremely satisfied with my purchase. i would probably go back in time and tell myself to buy the ones running ESPHome instead of Tasmota but it's not actually a big deal and i can indeed reflash these with whatever i want. i would definitely suggest to use ESPHome if you're using homeassistant, but i admit i am not having a bad experience with Tasmota either, with or without homeassistant.
recovering a bricked one would be difficult, but not impossible. i have already disassembled one to see, and it would actually be doable if i found myself needing to. i don't want to try soldering to one of these right now, so i'm just avoiding bricking any of them until i feel up to it. but i probably will end up hacking one up for firmware development later.
the bulbs also have a larger brightness range than the ones they replaced. the minimum brightness is lower, and the maximum is higher. the adjustable color temperature range is different, but it extends about as far in either direction as i would use anyway.
i've already ordered and received a second batch, will definitely be buying a third batch, and have recommended them to family as well. i'll also be trying other products from this vendor.
