@weirdestate i slept in a flat that had stairs like those once to get to the top floor bedroom and they weren’t actually too bad once you got over your initial wtf reaction (initial reaction in this case was worsened by having failed to sleep on an overnight flight and so being VERY discombobulated)

not sure i’d want to have them on my main bedroom just bc hauling a laundry basket up and down them every week seems like a bit of a pain, but for a guest bedroom or a study or something i dont think its too terrible
