guys i hacked support for pseud RSS feeds into superlove in like 20 mins. i am a god

@soph_sol :D i'd do a PR to add it to otwarchive upstream (AKA AO3) but they wouldn't take it, they don't do feature requests or additions at all :(

@moonsea THEY DON'T DO FEATURE ADDITIONS?! that someone has already written and is just submitting to them?? killing them with my mind

@soph_sol yeah they explicitly disallow PRs unless they're fixing issues tracked in jira lol. this is why i argue that AO3 is not in beta but rather is in permanent purgatory maintenance mode

@soph_sol @moonsea if i recall its also weirdly difficult to get access to the jira so you generally can’t even do what they say you should do, which is submit a jira ticket, wait for it to get approved, write the code, and then submit that to get approved

@Satsuma @soph_sol yeah :/ i was offered access but declined mostly cuz i didn't want any real on-paper relation to the OTW tbh

@Satsuma @moonsea YEAH that's super fair! but also, if I'm understanding you right, there are no avenues for pseudonymous individuals to contribute to the coding of ao3??? a website intended for a community of people who have a strong tradition of pseudonymity?!

@soph_sol @Satsuma you can do a drive-by github PR pseudonymously but it can only be a fix for an existing issue on their tracker :/

@moonsea @Satsuma yeah that is an org who does NOT take seriously the way that their base demographic engages with identity online!!!
