@ryfulets god ever since I first heard about the moby dick marathon I've thought longingly about attending! I am so glad you had an amazing time at it! and also: tell me more about all the moby dick themed knitwear????? I do long for a hand-knit whale sweater myself, even though I've never done that kind of colourwork before....
also. you ask what book I would want to do that kind of experience with, if I could make it happen, and the answer of course DOES have to be the book of a thousand nights and a night. Or les miserables.
@soph_sol my favorites were a.) biiiig whale like cape? poncho? actively being both worn and knitted by the person who was there and b.) the ENTIRE FIRST LINE of moby dick knitted into a sweater

@ryfulets those are both INCREDIBLE knitwear projects and I salute both people!
I have been trying to decide, for the thousand nights and a night, whether it would be better to choose a different translation every year, or to come up with some sort of wild mishmash situation that allows for varying translation by reader. The latter would be SO fun and cool, but would be hella logistically complicated, on account of how different translators are working from different manuscripts so they're not line-by-line or even page-by-page comparable!
