i'm very much not pro landlord in any case (ALAD) but i have to admit when i see people going "omg PE buying homes! what about MOM AND POP landlords!" i do think about the one landlord we had as a kid whose rancid 80 year old mom would come over uninvited and unwanted with pecan pie to spew the n-word and try to pressure us into going to her church
