On hold with the pharmacy and... every 15 seconds or so they thank me for holding, let me know I can hold for the next person or get a callback, and I'm like JUST LET ME LISTEN TO HOLD MUSIC
I can listen happily to hold muzak in my headphones and work! I have literally done this for hour+ situations but this is going to make me go absolutely feral.
After 22 minutes of this, with 18 second music clips, I finally asked for a callback because I was about to cry.
I also wrote what I hope was an opinionated but polite email to the pharmacy (one-off) feedback email address to state that this was a miserable experience that felt like a hostile attempt to get me to request a callback. I said it was fine to repeat periodically, but once a minute was more than fine and that in the era of headphones we can get work done IF it's not like this!
@platypus seriously i HATE when they decide to insert text like that because every time they stop the brain music my brain goes “oh someone picked up finally” and cues up its full paying attention to this conversation auditory processing powers. And then its just the same hold phrase repeated again and by the 20th time i’m exhausted
@Satsuma @platypus oh yes the repeatedly straightening up and grabbing your notes/open calendar/etc to be like oh no just kiddddddding forever on a loop
