Well there's a type of letter I've never had before--neither acceptance nor rejection yet, but an update that a poem I submitted is a finalist for acceptance. Which is no guarantee it'll be accepted, but I'm told it scored highly which is good enough for me tbh. I considered the piece a proof of concept more than anything so it's especially validating, and the result from this point on will depend on fit and other consideration rather than quality as perceived by the editors. I'm gratified they took the time to tell me, whatever the final outcome! #LjWrites #poetry
