Soliciting feedback on perhaps the most contentious issue of modern society: bed linen hygiene. Please be courteous in replies

How often do you wash pillows & pillowslips? Do you use under-pillowslips? Do you do yet another different thing I haven’t thought of? What about mattress cover? Do you wash that?

@diegueno I dunno! I’ve never washed mine because I don’t think it’ll go super well, but I might be wrong!

washing a cervical pillow made or rubberish material didn't go well the one time that I tried it.

@diegueno oh yeah not a foamy one. But synthetic stuffing ones would be fine I think

@diegueno @s0 synthetic down & polyfill are *generally* designed to be washable though they may clump a bit (you can throw some tennis balls in with them in the dryers to prevent this)

if they’re claiming that the pillows are allergen-friendly than it basically has to be bc there’s no other way to keep dust mites out of pillows (though of course companies love to lie about these things)
