after a couple weeks of lessons, I hit the "speaking practice" phase of #Busuu and it doesn't have a non-AI option, and also they'll record and save my voice. no thanks. time to look for alternative language learning sites!

here are some language learning sites/apps I will be checking out instead of Busuu. note that I can't vouch for any of them yet:
hellotalk.com/
transparent.com/
brainfuse.com/
apps.ankiweb.net/
polygloss.app/
bunpo.app/ (says it's for Japanese at the top, but actually has several languages)

if you have other suggestions, I'm happy to add them to the list!

@twistylittlepassages spanish only but i have been meaning to check out librelingo.app

also as a supplement to actual learning sites, is this community translation resource: tatoeba.org/en/

@Satsuma oh neat! Spanish is what I'm working on right now, so I'll check these out too!

Follow

@twistylittlepassages good luck! another spanish specific suggestion is personal.colby.edu/~bknelson/S

the prof hasn’t uploaded the actual lectures / readings so its short on context but the exercises are good if you want a little extra practice in some area
