Not so random thought. I'm pretty sure the terms 'suck' as an insult is related to oral sex and the idea that a man who gives oral sex is not worthy of respect bc being the receptive partner is feminine and being feminine is bad.
I'm wondering suddenly if I should stop using it as an insult because don't want to reinforce those ideas.

Oh, I've got a whole fucking rant about the concept of 'receptive' partner (and it's modern equivalent 'bottom'). Did you know there are doms in kink relationships who refuse to give oral bc it's 'inherently submissive'?
These concepts can be so fucking arbitrary and complete fucking BS. I may have to write another essay about the whole thing...

@JessMahler yeah i’ve made a practice in fandom spaces of avoiding people who have too strong feelings about which character is the bottom bc 90% of the time its code for some sort of inherently feminine/submissive bs that i do not have the patience for

@JessMahler its more common in some fandoms than others so if you get lucky enough you might never run into it! …and if you don’t you’ll probably figure out somethings off immediately, the vibe is both distinctive and weird
