me with my mastodon bookmarks: cheerfully adding things to my bookmarks "to take a look at when I have more time", then never going back to take a look 
I think my problem is that I mostly use a phone app to access mastodon, and of the apps I find generally useable, none of them have an easy-and-visible way to access your bookmarks. you have to open menus and things. and if it's not in front of my face as a main option in the interface, I forget to ever go there!!
I need to figure out a system for this that might actually work for me
@soph_sol 95% of my bookmarks are fic ideas I want to write "at some point." The thing is, I have an actual ideas document in Joplin, which is where I go to look for saved fic ideas, so really, my bookmarks here are things I want to put into my ideas document at some point. And I never have.
@soph_sol @villainousfriend maybe we should schedule a bookmark clearing party where we all clear out our bookmarks 😅
@villainousfriend @Satsuma I have nearly 2000 bookmarks...I think I would need multiple parties! but I would be down to do that sometime!
my bookmarks are, variously:
- links to articles/posts/websites/stories/fics I want to read
- book recs that I need to look up more reviews for to know if I want to add them to my tbr list
- information or resources for some hobby thing I want to try out, that I need to save to my computer
- insightful comments about characters that I want to add to my character docs
- fic ideas, to add to my fic-idea list
- recipes I want to try
etc. you get the idea. basically anything that takes more time to digest or deal with than a casual scroll through a microblogging platform really allows for!
@soph_sol @villainousfriend i’ve got a more moderate number of fedi bookmarks but am also due for a mobile browser tabs cleanout (where all those links you bookmark end up for me lol) so i’d move on to that if necessary haha
@Satsuma @villainousfriend lol yes I ALSO have a browser tab problem, and an RSS saved story problem, and a temp-notes-to-self-on-joplin problem...... I think between them all I could find myself with a problem nearing 3000 items in size 😅
