@bea they are! ours arrived late this year so M is wondering if yours did also
@Satsuma i don't really know when's normal for them to show up! i think i only started seeing them last year or maybe the year before? this year i maybe first noticed them on the solstice?
@bea huh interesting! we had a bunch in a field near my house growing up so i always saw em—usually i think they showed up like earlish june? but this year we didn’t see them really until the heat wave last week (we were having a super cold summer until then so it tracks that bugs would be a lil late)

@Satsuma yeah i've been walking around here in the evening for a long time too! at first i only ever saw them in one particular spot down the way, but this year they're in my garden!
@Satsuma yeah i had never seen them until very recently! when i saw them for the first time i thought i was hallucinating!
