Investiture update: at the part that's an extremely detailed fanfiction about the ways in which one sect of daoism is the superior one

The moral of the story, as I understand it so far

1: Be a daoist
2: Do whatever your daoist master says, even if it seems trivial or nonsensical. *Especially* if it seems trivial or nonsensical.
3: Unless your daoist master is the bad guy, in which case you should try to lose a fight to a disciple of the good guys ASAP.

@Betty how far are you into investiture so far? I have finished 19 episodes so far of the podcast of it! I feel like what I've learned so far is that emperors will only listen to you if you're super sexy, and also that creative forms of murder are enrichment for emperors. (also, yes, you should always listen to daoist masters who show up out of nowhere to tell you to do a weird thing)

@soph_sol Also I see why someone would make an outake that's just "Nezha! What a scamp!"

@Betty I don't think I've met Nezha yet! otoh we keep on skipping around to follow new characters and I may well have just failed to keep track of everyone so far lol

@villainousfriend @Betty that definitely does not sound familiar, so unless I have been extraordinarily unfucused while listening to previous episodes, I think I haven't met him yet!

@soph_sol @villainousfriend At the beginning he's mostly notable for doing something naughty that destroys someone's _____, getting dragged along to the important person's house to apologize, getting left on the porch to cool his heels while his dad/teacher goes in and makes the introductory apology, and the moment he's left unsupervised, breaking/killing something else.
